Driving out of busy Salzburg up into the hills above to the Gersberg Alm we were greeted by a beautiful chalet with flowers, trees, & pastures. They have a full restaurant so we had a light lunch. They view down to Salzburg was so nice that we just stayed up in the hills rather than walk the city. Its only a short 10 minute drive to the city and you will do best with your own car. There is plenty of free parking. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a balcony with that view. This is family run hotel of the finest quality. Breakfast & dinners were of the best quality. The staff are all willing to help out. There isn't a lift but the staff was quick to help with luggage. This was a great place to stay.
We stayed at the hotel for one night, and I must say I had the best time there.
The Mountain view was Mesmerising and the Staff were friendly and nice.
I can only recommend this Hotel to anyone who enjoys Nature,Mountain and some relax time
I would suggest more variety for the breakfast menu.

Beautiful Alm with a amazing view above Salzburg. A bit cold pool and poor breakfast. But the people and service is excellent. Easy to park the car and the restaurant is an amazing traditional experience!
The hotel is like a treasure hidden in the hills. We checked in the hotel very late, so we decided to just eat in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant was going to close for the night, but they still offered us the table and served us very well. We are surprised with the food. This is one of the best meals along the way in our Europe trip. The room is cozy, cottage style. The only thing has to be careful is the bathtub. It’s very easily got water spilled out through the bottom of the glass curtains. The staffs are very nice and helpful. The place is very quiet with nice views. You could over see the fortress and city of Salzburg from the hotel. We wish we could spend more nights in the hotel.
Beautiful grounds, lodge like atmosphere. We paid for the upgraded comfort double room with a balcony, but were disappointed with the size of the room we had received. It really had enough room for the bed; maybe 1 meter clearance on each side. The bathroom was very small with a tiny corner shower. Other than the room accommodations, the hotel is charming, clean and has great service. The restaurant is quaint, personalized and has fabulous cuisine. Although kid friendly, I would not reccomend this venue to families. It is very quiet and intimate which made it a bit uncomfortable for us with young children.
Very nice secluded Hotel. We stayed for a weekend to hike and explore the areas around Fuschlsee and Mondsee. We really loved the stay. It’s pricey but worth the money. Nice small spa area and pool in the hotel. Gourmet style restaurant, great food. Very kind service from all staff. Clear recommendation for spending some time for a special occasion or as a base to explore Salzburg.
One of the best hotel. It’s a unique one. You can spend your honeymoon with the best experience. Very welcoming and friendly staff. My stay was on 2011, but I still remember that stay. Highly recommend for couples.
Do yourself a favour, book somewhere else. The front desk just lied to me about the service hour of the facilities. When I talked to head waiter (only English speaking staff after 10pm) awhile later, they said that it was available but they didn't have access to the keys as the front desk staff I talked to left already.
They say they have a 24 hour front desk as well but that's a lie too. Expedia tried to call them for an hour but no answer.
Any more lies? Yes, the breakfast is not free as advertised.
I don't mind hotels being small or lack of facilities, but that's a big no if the staff being dishonest to their guests.
